Ozeri Modern Digital Bathroom Scale [Review]

I try not to focus on weight as an indicator of my fitness or strength. I look at my strength, cardiovascular fitness, and the way my clothes fit. However, there are times that one would want to weigh themselves on a regular basis. For example, if you are pregnant and monitoring your weight, if you are focused on a new exercise program and would like to monitor your results, if you are trying to gain weight, etc. There is a purpose for scales! Gone are the days of clunky, hard to read scales. In today's world, a modern, digital bathroom scale is a perfect functional accessory to your bathroom.

Ozeri Rev Digital Bathroom Scale features an electro-mechanical dial with an LCD display that automatically illuminates and points to your weight. The large LCD display is easy to see, even in the dark, and shows weight up to 0.2lb or 0.1kg increments. I really like that the display is easy to see. My husband had issues seeing the weight number on our old mechanical dial scale. He loves this new scale!

The scale runs on 3 AAA batteries. The display automatically turns off to conserve battery life. The display only stays on for a few seconds after you step off the scale. The dial is electro-mechanical, which means that the scale automatically points to your weight instead of the needle moving back and forth, like on a mechanical scale (no batteries). The downside is that if you are out of batteries, you will not be able to check your weight.

The design of the Ozeri Rev Digital Bathroom Scale is very modern and goes well with our bathroom decor. The top of the scale is made from impact resistant, high tempered glass. I love the sleek look of the scale! Ozeri offers multiple models and styles of modern, digital bathroom scales. Ozeri scales now even feature Microban technology. While Microban technology might be better suited for gyms and places where many (sweaty) people will be using the scale, I prefer a scale without this technology for our family. I always clean the scale with a natural, non-toxic cleaner.

I have been weighing myself every morning. The Ozeri digital bathroom scale quickly displays the weight and quickly turns off so that the batteries are not wasted when I have no need to look at the scale. I have noticed that if I do two readings back to back, the scale displays the same weight. If I wait about 30 seconds, until I hear another little "click," the scale clears and I can do another fresh reading. The downside is that the second reading is usually different than the first. I also found myself not even looking at the dial and only looking at the LCD display. Since there is a digital display, I see no functionality of the dial.
