Organic Baby Powder [Giveaway]

A few months ago, I was telling a friend how my 2 year old son has never had a true diaper rash. Of course, a week later, I am battling bumpy redness and welts! We cloth diaper most of the time and use disposable at night and when my husband changes diapers on the weekend. The hot weather caused a nasty diaper rash on my son's butt! I began thinking about what could have worked to reduce the skin irritation - organic baby powder!

Since the weather has been hotter and more humid, I have been putting a little bit of the powder on my toddler's butt before I place the cloth diaper on top. When we are outside for quite a bit of time or the cloth diaper has been left on for a little longer than usual, his butt does not seem quite so red. I feel like the organic baby powder works better when the cloth diaper is synthetic as synthetic materials soaked with pee usually irritate his butt more.

Another great use for the organic baby powder is using it as a powder deodorant! I have used powdered natural deodorant in the past and have liked them! The powder can be applied when underarms are wet. The powder absorbs the wetness and provides a little pH balance to prevent stinky bacteria from growing.
