Choose Pedipeds to Support Growing Feet [Review]

One of the most important investments for children are properly fitting and high quality shoes. Though you feel like you are always buying shoes for them because their feet grow so well, choosing a brand that is focused on providing high quality designs and materials is important to support developing feet. Babies feet grow very fast in the first 2 years and then slow down to about 1/2 size increase every 6 months. Pediped was the first brand of shoes that my son wore and the brand that we continue to purchase. Pediped invests in technology like leather upper, memory foam insoles and machine washable shoes that are comfortable to wear and easy to care for.

The Good
The Not So Good
Flexible rubber sole
Shoes run a little loose
Protective toe cap

Water-safe, machine washable

Made without any solvents

Pediped's Flex shoes are part of the Adventure line, which is focused on providing shoes that can withstand kids' adventures. Shoes include water-safe materials, are easy to wash and dry quicker, and include a design that provides flexibility.

Pediped Delmar sandals are made with synthetic materials that are water-safe, washable and dry quickly. These sandals would make great water shoes, while providing protection for the toes. There is a little bit more structure to them, which I really like. The mesh fabric and cut out sides still allow for breathability. More structure and a closed toe allow the shows to be worn for more than just play. Although I prefer leather shoes, I do like these are made with synthetic materials because I can easily wash them if they get dirty. The velcro closure allows the shoes to be adjusted for slimmer feet. I also really like the wide opening so shoes can be put on easily. It also helps when our son tries to put the shoes on himself.

Materials: Upper: Calrino (vegan suede), Mesh. Upper lining: synthetic fabric. Sole: non-marking flexible rubber sole.

The Fit: Pediped Delmar sandals runs lightly wide, so they are not recommended for very narrow fit. My son has narrow feet. The sandals are a little bit loose on him. The velcro closure does tighten enough to fit his feet, but it makes the part around the widest part of the foot (the front part) bunch out a little. Wearing the sandals with socks, like navy socks to match the navy sandals color, has helped them fit better. I think we will wear these sandals as the weather starts to get cooler.

The Results: The Delmar sandals are a great shoe to have for the Spring, Summer, and Fall. The sandals are casual enough to be worn playing in the back yard, yet have enough structure and coverage that they can be worn with khakis to church.

Delmar Blue Lime sandals are going to be our transition from the hot summer months to the cooler fall months. The sandals are great for playing in the yard in the morning while the grass is still wet, or for helping me in the garden. If they get dirty from the soil, I rinse them with water and set them out to dry. Since the sandals do have a little bit more structure to them, they take longer than his other sandals to dry. Nonetheless, I love the ability to wash the sandals and dry them.

I would recommend Pediped shoes for 3 reasons:
  1. High quality design focus on shoe technology
  2. Water-safe, washable and dryable
  3. Flexible and comfortable
I have purchased and always recommend Pediped shoes to anyone with children. The focus on shoe technology to support growing and developing feet results in comfortable shoes with adorable designs.
