Plum Deluxe Organic Tea Blends [Review]

Although I love drinking coffee, tea is my second favorite. The amount of different teas available, in both caffeinated and herbal form, can make your head spin or can make you giddy with excitement. After I reach my 3:30 PM coffee cut off, I switch to drinking tea. I prefer low-caffeine and herbal teas in the afternoon and evening. Plum Deluxe offers magical organic tea blends to treat yourself to a hot cup of tea.

I received two samples of Plum Deluxe organic tea blends: Self Care Blend Herbal Tea and Sunshine in a Cup Herbal Tea. Both teas are caffeine-free. The teas are hand blended in small batches after you purchase the tea, meaning that you get the freshest tea blends possible. Each package of tea contains loose tea leaves, herbs, etc. I really enjoyed the flavors of both of teas. As Plum Deluxe says, they are magical! I love how the natural ingredients give the tea such sweetness (without the use of sugar or other sweeteners).

A tea steeper, tea bag, or a tea pot is recommended for use with loose-leaf teas. If you do not have any of these, you can use cheese cloth or another fine cloth to steep the teas. You can even use a coffee filter and steep the teas for the recommended amount of time.

Not only does Plum Deluxe carry delicious teas and tea blends, but they are now offering natural soaps infused with their teas! I received a bar of Bee Happy, Sunshine Soap. This soap is made with natural ingredients and is infused with Plum Deluxe Mindful Morning Tea and Organic Local Unrefined Honey. I love how there are tea leaves in the soap on one of the sides. I realized after a few uses that the tea leaves are great for exfoliation and scrubbing power. Mindful Morning Tea is an Early Grey blend.

The Plum Deluxe website states that all ingredients are organic and the tea descriptions include this also. However, the labels on the tea bags do not state that ingredients are 100% organic. In order to avoid customer confusion, I recommend for Plum Deluxe to ensure there is consistency in the labels. Otherwise, they might lose customers who are looking for 100% organic teas.

I would highly recommend Plum Deluxe teas because of the high quality of teas and the delicious taste of the tea blends.

Caffeine-Free Energy Boost with Teeccino [Review]

What can I say about caffeine? I'm addicted to it. I love coffee. About 6 months ago, I switched to green tea as my main source of caffeine. I still have a little coffee here or there, but I find that the caffeine content is too high for me (imagine a wired feeling with someone holding your eyes open). On some days, I need more caffeine than green tea can offer. I had heard of herbal coffees before, but was very skeptical that they could do the trick. When I received my variety pack of Teeccino herbal coffees, I immediately picked a bag to brew. Teeccino caffeine-free herbal coffee is a delicious blend of herbs, grains, fruits, and nuts roasted and ground to brew and taste just like coffee.

I received a number of Teeccino products: ground herbal coffee, single-serve tea bags, and cereal.

I stated off with the herbal coffee bag (Hazelnut flavor). I liked the ease of making this herbal coffee just like I make tea. Pour the hot water over the bag, steep and enjoy. I was pleasantly surprised by the delicious aroma. I do not tend to prefer flavored coffees, so I thought of the Hazelnut Teeccino as an herbal coffee drink. Teeccino tasted just like coffee. I even got a nice "caffeine" boost. My favorite aspect is that Teeccino is nutritious and the energy comes from the ingredients and nutrients as opposed to caffeine in regular coffee.

Teeccino also comes in 11oz bags, which contain ground ingredients that you can brew in your coffee maker or French press. The varieties are mostly of the flavored kind, which might be a big change for someone who  could be used to drinking black Starbucks Pike coffee. Teeccino does offer a few standard flavors like French roast, Original, and Java.

Not only does Teeccino offer herbal coffees and teas, but they also offer nutrient-dense cereals. Teeccino cereals are gluten-free and contain super seeds to keep you energized and full all morning long. I have not yet tried the cereals, but I am confident that I will love them. Chia, flax, quinoa, amaranth, ramon and pumpkin seeds with gluten-free rolled oats, blueberries, and dried fruit sounds like something I would try to mix at home for a healthy breakfast.

I feel like a new world has been opened to me with herbal coffee. I love the different flavors and varieties of Teeccino herbal coffee. I can see myself drinking the herbal coffee in the morning or enjoying it with some whole milk in the afternoon. If you are looking for a coffee alternative that does not give you jitters or stomach aches, I recommend trying Teeccino.

Mighty Leaf Teas have been part of my home tea collection for quite some time.  I am always impressed with the whole leaf pouches that produce the most delicious tasting teas. What Did I Think of Mighty Leaf Teas?

My standard iced tea routine is to measure the amount of water in the pitcher and count out tea bags. The tea bags float in the water and I have to take them out one by one. This process gets a little time consuming, especially if I do not have enough tea bags left. 

Might Leaf Iced Teas pouches change the game! Each whole leaf pouch brews up to 1/2 Gallon or 64 oz of Iced Teas. I love that I did not have to measure the cups or the tea bags. I placed the bag into the pitcher and poured hot water over it. How easy is that?!?

Let me tell you about the tea bag. The whole leaf tea bag is bigger to accommodate 64 oz. The string is longer so that you can place the tea bag in the pitcher and not drown the tag once you start pouring the water. The tag at the end of the string has instructions so that you can quickly gage how long you need to brew the tea. Easy, breezy!

The first iced tea I brewed was the Ginger Peach Iced Tea. This flavor is the current best seller. This tea is delicious both hot and cold. The Ginger and Peach flavor combination was perfect.   

My husband brewed the Chamomile Citrus herbal tea, another best seller. Although my husband is not usually a fan of herbal teas, he really enjoyed the Chamomile Citrus flavor. 

Did you know that Mighty Leaf also offers teaware? I would love to try the Chantal Tea Kettle, as my current tea kettle is ancient.  

Summary

You can still enjoy iced tea during the cold months. Mighty Leaf Iced Teas quench your thirst after raking leaves in the yard or playing in the snow with your kids. Choose Mighty Leaf Teas and you taste buds will thank you.

My Thoughts: I would highly recommend Mighty Leaf Teas to anyone. The variety of flavor combination will satisfy any tea lover’s taste buds. The best aspect of Mighty Leaf Tea is that I can reuse the bag several times because of the amount of high quality, whole leaves.  I also love that the tag on each tea pouch tells you the brew time.   

Opportunities for Improvement – Mighty Leaf has a lot of opportunities to continue expanding their organic teas to meet market demand. I look forward to seeing what new organic flavor combinations Mighty Leaf can create. 

What is the Man’s Opinion?  My husband, who usually turns his nose to “girly” tea flavors, enjoyed both the Ginger Peach and the Chamomile Citrus. I think I could convince him to buy more Mighty Leaf Teas! J
